 Lisa:  Receptionist
Lisa is a Buckeye from Ohio. She spent 30 years in Ft. Worth, Texas and moved to Spring Hill in 2001 with her husband Bill. Lisa worked in
the dental lab field for 28 years before moving here, and has been with Animal Health since 2003 as a tech and receptionist. She has always had
both cats and dogs and loves them both. Her favorite breed is the Basset Hound! She currently has a kitty that she rescued as a kitten in Fort Worth and gave to her daughter Maura, and got back 12 years later. Her kitty's name is Majerle and you can check her out in the photo album on this website!




 Yoko:  Veterinary Assistant
CONNICHIWA EVERYONE!!   Yoko is "Made in Japan"... Yet some people think she is Irish!!  (Just Kidding!)
Yoko has worked as a Vet Tech for over 20 years now.  Her knowledge and experience are irreplaceable!!  We are VERY fortunate to have an employee like her, as her love for people and pets fill our clinic.

 Kendra:  Head Vet Technician
Kendra has been a vet tech for over 14 years. 11 of those years have been spent working at Emergency clinics in the Bay area.  She also has spent countless weeks helping and rehabilitating wild life babies that would  have little or no chance of survivial.  Her experience and knowledge makes her an incredible asset to Animal Health.  She and her husband Mark have many pets of their own, all rescued!  She enjoys the outdoors and camping.
We hope to keep her for a VERY long time!



 Desiree:  Veterinary assistant
Desi has been working in veterinarian medicine for 12 years. Starting as a receptionist, then trained as a groomer and then as a vet tech. She really wanted to learn all aspects of the veterinary business and make it her career. Desi said she has worked with so many compassionate people and 
she has learned from some of the best doctors over the years. She has had many pets through the years including a German Shepherd, Doberman Pincher, Labrador Retriever, Maltese's, Poodle, Pug, French Bulldog, Shih Tzu's and a few mix breeds. Sadly, she has lost a few over the years but still has 3 Maltese's, 2 Shih Tzu's, a Terrier mix and 3 cats. SHE REALLY LOVES ANIMALS!!  Desi enjoys going for a motorcycle ride or out on the boat. Most of her time is spent at home with her 4 legged kids and fiance`, Roger.


 

 Lenea:  Veterinary Assistant
Lenea has been in the Veterinary field for over 24 years. She moved down from Ann Arbor, Michigan a few months ago, and we
were lucky to snag her!  Her hobbies include golfing, boating and most sports, but her passion is fishing!!


  

 
  Jenifer:  Veterinary Assistant
Jen has been a veterinary assistant for 2 years. She is coming up on her one year anniversary with Animal Health Vet Clinic. She is a hard worker, and the clients REALLY love her!!   Jen recently married her love, Kyle and together they have "Nikita", which is a two year old Shiba Inu. ( A beautiful breed that looks just like a fox! )  



  Lin: Veterinary Assistant
It seems like only yesterday
I started working at the vet
Now 18 years have gone so fast
Am I having fun - you bet!!
 
Five cats and 2 chihuahuas
And a Husband too
Two daughters and a grandson
The light of my life - it's true!!
 
Just another little thing
For those I have not met
My accent isn't quite like yours
I haven't learned it yet!!
 
I sometimes do cause quite a riot
With the way I speak
But it is just Queens English
So I'm really not a freak!!
 
I love to read, I like to sew
And walk my little dogs.

   Shari:   Veterinary Assistant
Originally from Michigan, Shari has been in Florida since 1971, and she has been in the animal profession since 1974.  Shari has had her own grooming shop and was an animal control officer. She now works with us as a veterinary assistant.  Shari has 2 dogs, 3 cats, 1 daughter and a grandson.  WELCOME ABOARD!!



  Morgen:    Veterinary Assistant
It started 7 years ago, when I was very young;  Working at the E-clinic, It soon became good fun;  Crazy hours- such hard work, and very little sleep;  But through it all my Mom would smile

and say "Gopher, you're so sweet"!  My family has grown a lot, I have a dad now too;  3 cats, 4 birds, a ferret & Guinea Pig complete the whole Smith crew!!

  Tammy:  Veterinary Assistant

Tammy moved from MD to FL in 1995. She has been a veterinary assistant/receptionist at hospitals in both states.  She became a certified groomer several years ago, but keeps making her way back into the hospital environment.  Tammy holds a AA degree in Crime Scene investigation and worked at the Marion City Sheriff Office before having her son Jayden, who is now 18 months old. Tammy and her husband Dan are expecting their 2nd child in Oct. 2010.  She lives at home with 3 dogs and has 2 miniature horses. 

 

 

 

 

Jane:  Veterinary assistant

Originally from Macomb, Michigan Jane moved to sunny Florida in April 2008. Her first job was at a dog and cat boarding facility.  She knew after a few years that she wanted to work in a vet hospital.  So she worked at a few vet hospitals in Michigan.  She began her career as a vet assistant then with hard work she made her way to the position of vet tech.  She loves working as a technician everyday because there is so much gratification in everyday.  Jane has a Golden Retriever named "Gia" and a Persian named "Gizmo".  Some of Jane's extracurricular activites outside of work include spending time with friends, relaxing at the beach, volleyball, softball and most of all shopping!  Jane adds a calming light to our clinic everyday!

 

 

 

 

Leslie:  C.V.T

Leslie has been in the veterinary field for 8 years and achieved her certification in 2006.  She is originally from Long Island, NY and has now lived in the Hernando County area for 3 years.  She lives with her husband and furry kids (Travis, Max, Curby and Hunter).
